Modern Family (Lily Tucker-Pritchett)

Rise to Fame

She joined Modern Family at age 4, replacing the Hiller twins as Lily Tucker-Pritchett, and immediately became one of the show's most reliably funny presences. The role had her playing the adopted Vietnamese daughter of a gay couple during an era when that was still a daring premise for network TV. By 2012, she was already a piece of SAG history: the youngest person ever to receive a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the show's ensemble cast. She stayed with the show nine seasons until it wrapped in 2020.

In the Spotlight

The coming-out moment in June 2025 was perfectly executed. She lip-synced to her character's own dialogue from a Season 4 episode where Lily declares she's gay, captioned it "hehe happy pride month and to all a good night," and hit 2 million views. She followed it with a music pivot under the name Frances Anderson, releasing debut EP Drown in August 2025. The name drop is partly practical (shorter than the hyphenated original) and partly a statement: she's not playing Lily anymore.

Side Notes

Long before the music pivot, she and her mother were running FoodMania Review, a YouTube food channel that now has over 5.2 million combined views. It makes no attempt to be influencer-slick, which is probably why it works. Charity work for St. Jude and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is woven into her schedule, and in December 2025 she starred as Dorothy in The Wonderful Winter of Oz. At 18, she's cycling through acting, music, theater, and YouTube without committing to any one as the main career.
